Over-exposed but I kind of like it..

I was practising the other day with an 'unwilling' subject and was trying to get my exposure right. This one is rather overexposed but I kind of like the effect. Interested to know what others think......is it good or bad?

I love his expression!

I think the crop is too tight, and maybe a touch more depth of field is needed.

The overexposed element does not float my boat in colour, but these shots often look better in mono and are called 'hi-key'.

Re: Over-exposed but I kind of like it..

Yes, I like the composition and facial expression but am not keen on the over-exposed look, it is a bit too bright for me. I would also like the eyes to be sharper as that is where I am looking first and foremost. Other than that it is a captivating image due to the facial expression.

Cheers,
Rob
