Panorama attempt
I'm not getting much of a chance to post on here at the mo due to job hunting
I've been trying various panorama softwares over the last few weeks but most of them I couldn't get on with until I tried Panorama Factory v4.4 which seemed pretty good, reasonably easy to use and gave the best results. This second attempt of a pano of the Bay of Naples with Mt Vesuvius in the background is nine portrait orientation images stitched together and then run through HDR. When I took the originals exposure was a bit of a nightmare due to the approaching storm on the right and the bright white clouds nearer the centre. The watermark is because I am still using the trial version. Hope you enjoy it. http://i5.pbase.com/o6/45/577645/1/7...panoram2k1.jpg

Re: Panorama attempt
I can't
![]() Looking at the pic properties, you are linking externally I think Hacker. Could this be causing a problem? I know some other forums (not this one) prevent externally linking into their galleries. Might be worth uploading to Pixalo and then we can be sure to see it. Cheers, Rob |

Re: Panorama attempt
Gorgeous!
The sky is amazing. However, there's a lot of big blue ocean with not a lot happening in it

Re: Panorama attempt

Re: Panorama attempt
I like the overall image but there is severe banding happening on the image I am seeing. Is it happening on everyone else's or is it making me a special case? The dark blue of the sky has strong bands of dark and light that shouldn't be there. It may be that this is being caused by overlaps of photos but I am not sure. Either way I must say it is spoiling an otherwise excellent shot, at least the way i am seeing it.
Please tell me it isn't just me! <g> Cheers, Rob |

Re: Panorama attempt
I'm seeing the banding too. It may be light falloff (right term?) - iirc hacker has the sigma 10-20 and if it was used for the individual shots then that may explain it. Mine certainly has a bit of falloff.
