Peel sunsets

This was shot at sunset from Peel beach looking towards the ruins of the old Castle and Cathedral.

This second photo was shot on the same day from a little futher up the beach looking in the opposite direction, the light was fantastic and while I was taking this shot the air was filled with really fine drizzle. About 10 minutes later the sky became completely clear, it was amazing how quickly the light changed.

Peel seems to have a reputation for being the place to catch sunsets while on the Isle of Man, on the two occasions that we managed to be in Peel at sunset we were treated to something spectacular both times.

Both shot with the Canon 20D and Sigma 10-20mm.

Re: Peel sunsets

Super sky in No. 1. My first impression of that rainbow was that it was just too perfect and must have been faked. Then I realised that I must be getting old and too cynical. Two really nice pictures, they do not come much better.

Definitely not faked, I have series of shots as the rainbow was formed and slowly died away...all from different angles as I was trying to get the biggest impact. The shown above is by far the strongest though.

Thanks for all the comments, its much appreciated
