that lens certainly gives a good perspective...I might be inclined to crop a bit off the sky so it is less of a half and half shot. I love the way everything meets on the left hand side. Works well

hi DJ
is this shot 'as is' or has one been following the free transform tool to stretch the sky? hmmm.
nice shot BTW

Nice shot. The one thing I miss on my cam is a decent wide-angle. It only gets out to 35mm and it's no-where near wide enough for my liking. I think I may have to invest in a couple of adapters!

Or, with such a fabulous sky let's have more of it 1/3 to 2/3 perhaps !

An excellent shot Dave ... you do like your road signs, whether vertical or horizontal don't you ?

I like ... TFS !

LOL , as is.

Marianne, tried the normal 1/3 comp which would have been fine with normal sky, but lost the impact of this with clouds almost imaging the road perspective....thus rules had to be broken

Ghandi, this is only half crop from original shot, so even wider......know what you mean about limitations of current lens, althogh I find this level of wide angle is quite hard to find subjects that work.....anything a 100 metres away seems to become a dot Landscape is especially hard unless you have something of interest in very close foreground.

Yeah, that's mostly my probem at the moment, kind of. Anything I find for suitable foreground interest tends to drown the framing at 35mm by being too large!

Oh well, I came to a conclusion recently that I may have to go the dSLR route at some point in the next 12 months, if only for decent wide-angle capability. hrmph.

I get the impression (being a newbie) that you are the B&W king around here. How much photoshopping going on here?

It's a good job Bachs is busy with a new bairn! I wonder if his ears are burning?

I really like this, it has such a neat perspective. At first it made me a little dizzy, but none the less a wonderful view!
