Photos from a complete amateur!
Hello everyone! I joined the site today, and thought I'd show a few of my photos for general comments and opinions...My interest is primarily in landscapes... the photos on the following URL are a few taken at one of my favourite places, Whitby, North Yorkshire...they were taken with my D70, and originally colour but converted into grayscale. They are about 1024x768 pixels in size. I have taken a look about the rules regarding posting images and such like, and am a little worried about the link being "blind", but I assure you they are nothing dodgy!
Well, heres the link... http://homepage.ntlworld.com/david_sutcliffe

Well David I think they're cracking. I know Whitby well and I think the conversion to black and white is very appropriate.

I converted the pictures in Photoshop, and to be honest I only know the basics. I was concentrating on composition in those black and white shots, and thought I did ok on the pier shot! I'm hoping to get some more shots around the dales a little further in land, I like to take shots in the autumn and winter months, and have just ordered a new tripod.. so hopefully should get some good shots in the coming months.
