Out for a nice coffee with hubby this morning & saw these in a florist & couldn't resist, so had to get a stem and also some alstrumaria and lisianthus. So am now happily in the middle of a still life session. Light is going a bit now though and as hubby is out all day tomorrow, I know what I'm doing, more still life. Also think I've got the jpeg sharpness sorted on the 40D now as well

Well that's 'cause of the wide apeture this time, not the dozy photographer not knowing how to use the camera

I quite like this but I think due to the shape of the flowers with their narrow petals it might be worth trying to frame a single flower so we can get to see more of the detail in it.

Quite difficult to separate these as there are about 10 flower buds on the head. The detail is there in the full size image, but is difficult to see in the low res on screen. I've just printed it out as 12x8 to have a look.
