Re: Portrait practice
1st shot is a peach a cracking shot. Also love the last shot as the pair of them have that fed up bored look, you can almost hear them saying "How much longer is this going to take?"

Re: Portrait practice
took me all my time to get the long faces without one or the other bursting into laughter, especially when they were facing each other.............. Told them to look at each other and try to keep a straight face while they counted to 5 in their heads, took one shot just as one of them turned round and said "when?".......ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh the old saying is true never work with animals or kids! lolol

Re: Portrait practice
yes Fiona
Great photos, you sure seem to know what you are doing and experimenting is all part of enhancing pictures that we take, It seems to me with the software that you can buy these days the sky is the limit in the type of effects that can be produced, Keep up the great work Regards Sparhawk |

Re: Portrait practice
first shot is fantastic.(although it's not one to print off for the grandparents to hang on the wall) I'd go down the experimental photography route of that first photo, results could be interesting.Your three other shots are nice portraits with plenty of personality, keep up the good work the last image may look good in B&W

Re: Portrait practice
Hi Fi
Kids are a challenge. I find that I have better luck if I pose them, talk to them, interest them in some way, then snap the shot. But: I keep my eye to the viewfinder, and say something like " good shot guys, thanks", and when they relax SNAP! A much better shot. ![]() skip |
