Portrait - Sammy
One from w/e shoot. Processed high contrast to show texture in skin , plus dark & moody (not to everyones taste
) . Could have done with a reflector to bounce a little light under the chin.

A shot full of character and, whilst I guess more light would've produced some good results, think that this works pretty well, as is!

As I don't shoot alot of pictures like this, I am drawn to them, just a beautiful mood setting portrait. Did want to see a little more of the beard, but the tone theme seems to speack for itself.

The only thing is exactly what you said, a reflector under the chin.
I really like these type of portraits. very well done Dave. I like the fact that very few portraits are able to almost talk to you thats when you know it was very well composed and taken, and this portrait, well just look at his eyes, he almost talks to you. you couldn't have timed it better. the image shows a lot of emotion in his expression. Congrats on this one Dave |
