.Did you get the impression you were the one 'on show'?.Nice, sharp 'capture'[ ] with natural colours.Could the background do with being darker do you think?.Whatever, patience and persistence is paying offJohn. |

Re: Posing for Christmas
Good one Fangman
Our Robins are still being a little shy at the moment but hopefully my mealworm baiting will pay off soon! |

Re: Posing for Christmas
I like this one. The only slight criticism I have is the white area behind the tail. Can you set the camera up in a slightly different position.
I will have to move my feeders nearer to the house, (once i have got a telephoto lens). Long Tailed Tits are quite common here at the moment. What equipment did you use for this ?? |

Re: Posing for Christmas
canon 40d sigma 70-200 2.8 on a tripod set up in a window at the back of my garage with feeders between 7 - 10 ft away. The window pivots so there are two tall narrow slots to shoot through. If weather is bad I shoot through glass - loses between 1/2 to 1 stop but hardy noticeable in quality. Better that than pneumonia. f5.6 at 1/200th iso 800.

Re: Posing for Christmas
Like that shot fangman. In my early film days I used to shoot these but unfortunately our resident cats seem to deter all but the bravest birds from entering the garden.
