A lot of flowers pics on the go so thought I'd give it a try.My 18-125 Sigma doesn't focus very close so I used my Olympus 5060 compact camera.I couldn't remember how to get in on the macro setting

so this is the 'normal' manual mode,at the 115mm end,shot in Raw.I darkened the background and blurred it a bit to make the flowers stand out more.
Not as classy as the shots using a macro lens but I think it's okay.
"marcinklysewicz" has shown wonderfully,with his macro work using a compact and add on lenses,what is possible with less than 'ideal' equipment

Lovely shot - the background is nice and understated, which concentrates the eye on the main subject well.

Beautiful. I love the light tones of the flower contrasting with the dark background, but no so much that you lose the foliage. Subtle and pleasing.
