Initially I was yet again attempting some abstracts but got waylaid and ended up with the following.

I like it! Pastel colours too. The wavy reflections in the right hand cameo are really cool.

I have never felt the need to try this kind of thing, probably because I would embarrass myself. But these are very good and together the way they are is excellent. Very inspiring.
However I think you should have been brave enough to post this into the critique section, were it would have received the in depth constructive comments it deserves.
Ken.

Ken.
To be honest I was going to add extra pictures to this thread which would have meant it would have broken the rules if it had been posted in the critique section. I have held off posting them for now to allow Bod (who was with me at the time of the shoot) to be able to post some of his best shots. As I have not seen any of his shots from this trip yet I don't know which he is likely to post.

I'll give him until later tonight to post some otherwise I will throw up the rest of mine

Just joking Steve but looking forward to your other shots.

As promised here are a few more from the Salford Quays..I have attempted to capture them all differently to what I would normally take in style and approach. Some work better than others but comments good and bad are welcomed as usual.

A different version of this can be seen elsewhere on the forums, the more eagle eyed amongst you will spot it immediately

Here this shot is along way from the original, colour shifted during post production to my liking.

Finally a good old black and white to finish, we look around us and sometimes up, but very rarely will we look down as photographers. There are pictures to be had everywhere.

Modern enslavement looks like something you would see in a film for some reason, great capture.

Curves for me is a bit flat, just my preference on contrast.

The first 2 don't do anything for me sorry, the 3rd is good and I like the 5th but the 4th is very, very good. The colour of the 4th is just spot on, purple and black really does stand out. Brilliant shapes captured well makes this very interesting imo.

Very different from your usual stuff Steve. I'm not sure why you wanted to change your approach, although experimentation is good. I like No3, and No4 is great, but I'm not keen on the others. 'Curves' is a little drab and lacks a focal point. I prefer your normal style.
