I haven't posted much for a while due to being very busy, but I plan to dedicate some more time to my photography for the next few months. They could be my last in Toronto if things don't work out here, so I am going to make the most of that time.

Here is my latest photo with a snippet from my online journal.

Toronto Island is a great place to capture photos of wildlife. I got a photo the other day of a Raccoon with the wrong lens at the wrong time of day and it was blurred. I came back the next day with the right settings, the right lens, the right time and this was the result. One of my favourite shots due to the combination of everything coming together and working!

That is a great shot, and perfectly posed by the racoon too The eye contact is great and really makes the shot.

It’s not only a great shot, it is a fantastic shot.

Reading your excerpt from your journal explains exactly why it is so good. Timing and perseverance as well as camera skill are the essentials to getting shots like this. Wildlife is unpredictable and difficult at the best of times but when all the elements come together the results, as shown here, can be stunning


On to Toronto, your tone indicates that perhaps things are not going as well as everyone had hoped? I remember you saying that you had a year to try to make things work, it would be a shame if it doesn't as your reports have always suggested that you where having a great time and had settled in well. I do hope it works out for you. Keep at it until there is absolutely no chance and then don't give up

As Northern Star said the eye contact is perfect. That and the way it's legs add to the composition then I would say perfect. Shame you didn't post under widlife in Members Gallery....you could have seen the 10's lining up
