Rally Sierra Brava (México)

Hey pals,

well I just want to share some pictures from this rally a few weeks ago, maybe they are not the best ones, but panning with this little camera is very difficult and it doesn't have to much optical zoom. But I will have soon my 20d or xt. hehe

Camera, Canon Powershot S70
The complete exif of the shots are in my page.

All comments welcome!!

Renault Clio RS GrN3

Peugeot 206 XS GrA6

Studebaker, this actually runs in "La Carrera Panamericana" across Mexico.

I have more, I put them in a while.

Cheers

Nice shots mate!

If I can make a very small suggestion, all IMHO of course, but believe it or not but I think they'd look better with a slower shutter speed. Esp. the first one as the spinning front tyres would give a great sensation of the frantic nature of rallying!

Of course that's me being very picky and should not take anything away from what you have already done!

These are all good shots but the key to getting great shots is to have the cars pin sharp while showing motion in the tyres and giving the impression of the speed. As has already been pointed out that is done by using a slower shutter speed and panning with the subject.

Thanks Sammy

I will try slower shutter speeds next time, actually I used on some photos and in others not, but have to practice my panning, it's difficult thru the little visor of the powershot s70, but I will.

Thanks All!
