Cute indeed
You got the texture bit ok, but re: composition you chopped the poor dog's feet off ... so I'm assuming that's actually a grimace, or at least a smile thru gritted teeth

That is one super smile! It's a shame about the 'chopped off' paws, but it still captures the character of your dog and the happy grin!
