Red Arrows - In Mono of course ;)
Found a couple of colour shots from last years RIATs that I thought I would quickly convert to Mono
Unfortunately they've lost a bit of detail during resizing, but you get the idea ![]()

Have to say I didn't think the Red Arrows could look so good in mono

Great conversions as usual. Are these going into your exhibition?

Re: Red Arrows - In Mono of course ;)
Considering it Steve, as they look much better at full size, plus I reckon there is more chance me selling these type of images

Red Arrows shots always sell well.
If you can reach the right market for these they would be very profitable for you

Re: Red Arrows - In Mono of course ;)
In terms of best outlets, it is a hard one to answer as the Red Arrows themselves are not interested in stocking any pictures, no matter how good, because they have their own photographers who they use exclusively. Maybe that's why half their posters are from photos at least 10 years old!
I have been naughty whenever they have come down here (every year!) as I have printed out some of my self-made posters and taken them up to the main vantage point (thousands of people there!) taken one from its tube, hold it out and show one person nearby. That will get a few looking and then they go like hot cakes! I only sold 20 last year as it was all I printed out so this year I took 50.... and they all went at a fiver a throw. A very easy £250 minus about £30 in paper and inks so £220 in under 10 minutes :o) I have sold individual photos to: Bournemouth Tourist information Office, Poole TIO, Bournemouth Daily Echo, English UK (magazine that sells hugely in Europe to people thinking of coming to the UK to learn English), plus a few other similar mags and papers. If you get regular visits from the RAs, the local papers are usually interested in good quality prints but I doubt many would take a mono as they only want colour shots for the purpose of tourism generation etc. If you ever sell one to the RAs direct, let me know! I have loads that (I humbly declare) are easily as good as their own, and dare I say it often better. They sell rights to their image and once you tell them you sell them, you'll be getting letters asking how many, who to and telling you how much a licence costs! I'll leave that to your consience and whether you think you can sell enough to make it worth it! Hope that is of some help. Cheers, Rob

Love the first one!
Red arrows come to my neck of the woods twice a year, just recently this Wednesday. Amazing shots possible over the bay, but unfortunately my brother has borrowed my camera ![]() Maybe next year..... |

These look fab!
![]() I've not seen the Red Arrows for years... apart from on the telly-box. I'd had thoughts of getting down to Airbourne (Eastbourne) but never quite made it, but there is always next year! |
