Robin and frends
![]() Missed Christmas cards - in time for Easter. ![]() Must have learnt this stare from my daughter. ![]() Female chaffinch - much bolder that the male. ![]() Blackbird - usually defending its patch. ![]() Goldfinch checking me out - first on the feeder in the mornigs at the moment. ![]() Can't get enough of these little finches - really brighten up the day. All in this mornings break away from updating a database. The blackbird yesterday went in a time warp! I wondered how many would spot that the bird taken yesterday nestled in last years snowdrops!RobBaron came nearest - blame my monitor in sunlight making me over correct - looked different later and saw the green cast.

Wonderful bird images. I particulary like 4 and 6. But who's counting?

Re: Robin and frends
Its fun to see birds displaying some "character" as in #2 & #5. Also fun seeing different species than we have here.

Re: Robin and frends
The blackbird is the best by far. I think a higher ISO, on some of them would have allowed a faster shutter speed.

Re: Robin and frends
lovely images, i have loads of birds in my garden but they are all sparrows ( both types) robins, blackies and starlings,,,, we did have a couple of green finches but havent seen them since and we do get an odd sparrow hawk, i am hoping that the peregrins that live in the bp decide to come and pay us a visit one day as we are only a stone throw away! lol

Re: Robin and frends
I find that with anything over the iso setting of 200 on my canon 350D I am bothered by noise. It is a pain - may just be my camera but really shows if there has to be much cropping, mainly in shadows. Noise software helps, but then there is a loss in detail unless recovered with the history brush. Bring on more light! Most have -1or 2 stop fill in flash anyway.
