Robin Hood Prince of Thieves' Sycamore Tree - Hadrian's Wall

Went for a walk along Hadrian's Wall near Twice Brewed in Northumberland.
Took loads of pictures but I think this was the best - it was the tree used in the film Robin Hood Prince of Thieves.

Quite happy with this shot

It's great! I particularly like (after studying it for a while) the curvature.
If I was going to pick? and I am! I don't care for the sky too much.
I would like to see less saturation and a bit more menace.

Don't hurt me!

in a way i agree with soup BUt only had it been a mono shot. i think it works really well as it is and like soup i also love the curvature. I would love to see it in mono with as soup suggests a more dramatic sky........... great work tho a cracking image!

Re: Robin Hood Prince of Thieves' Sycamore Tree - Hadrian's Wall

yep i do....... although i wouldnt say it better or worse than the colour.what it is now is an entirely different image!

much more atmospheric and i think in keeping with the starkness of the original shot. mind u i could be talking total nonsense but thats definately how i see it

Just looked at the TV listings and Robin Hood Prince of Thieves is on BBC1 at 7pm tonight, what a coincidence!

Re: Robin Hood Prince of Thieves' Sycamore Tree - Hadrian's Wall

Having not seen Robin Hood on TV, the picture doesn't mean much to me but as an image it is quirky and fun, I like it. I also like the mono that Fi did, entirely different image but powerful.

Good work,
Rob
