Re: The Rock
I think this is a much better shot Ray
For me, you have the foreground interest with the rock and the lead in line is provided by the converging hedgerows guiding your eye to the thicket. From there, the road meanders into the distance so you are drawn right through the picture. Well done ![]() The horizon looks like it has a bit of a halo - unless that is the cloud line. It might be worth using a mask or a gradient to blend the sky rather than a selection. I can't quite make out what they are, but I can see some vertical lighter stripes either side of the rock.

Re: The Rock
Thank you for your comment's, about the verical stripes either side of the rock,im most likely wrong but i thought they where weak rays from the sun trying to get through the clouds what do you think...Ray

Re: The Rock
Could be, Ray, but did not strike me as sunbeams as they are vertical and parallel.
Only a minor thing anyway. At least you can see them too, so it is not my eyes! Important thing is that the picture is good |

Re: The Rock
Nice shot. I wonder if the vertical lines are rain?

Important thing is you have found the cause, so you can avoid it happening again - and you can do another version if you feel so inclined |

Re: The Rock
This is a super shot Ray
There seem to be some patches of green which stand out a little too much IMHO, e.g. the rock, the patch of bright green in front of the rock + a few very small but very bright patches in the BG. |

Re: The Rock
To be honest - I prefer the first one. It has impact and drama and really only needs some minor tweaking if you are looking to get an improvement on it.
Looking back on it now, having seen the latest one, it seems to have a green/green and yellow cast, so perhaps this is what is bugging you. |
