Rose

Tried my hand at photographing roses, these are the best two I came up with so far, but may put a few more in this thread if I think they're good enough.

i agree with pe the first one for me nice shot .. could posssibly do with a little more room imho the petals are to close to the edge ..but thats what i like ,,,,,

personally I like the second rose , especially the shade of red , puls i think the black ag makes it as well .

Thanks for all the replies, dave, yes I agree they need more room, but it was kinda hard to frame as I was handholding, pointing downwards, with a godawfully heavy flash on the top, so I couldn't keep it that still
Thanks chickadee, i quite liked it too, but wasn't sure if thee 'unnatural' look would appeal. The bg was fortunately a very old fireplace, so nice and black
