Roundabout bronze
Somehow no known accidents with folk looking at this and not the traffic
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Taking advantage of the winter sun today before the fog closed in. My favourite bronze on the roundabout by the National Stud at Newmarket - managed not to get run over! |

Re: Roundabout bronze
I like the first one the best. The base and chain takes away from the majesty of the horse.
Hmmmm....when I am in the roundabouts, I don't dare look at the middle. skip |

Re: Roundabout bronze
Yup, I am with Skip, first one for sure. I don't think it would distract me driving around it but I can understand what you mean. Horses don't actually do much for me.... now if it was a dolphin! <g>

Re: Roundabout bronze
Nice set Fangman. I like the first one best too but would think about cloning out the stray foliage in the bottom LHS and maybe cropping a sliver from the left so that the base is equal on both sides.

Re: Roundabout bronze
Yes to cloning out the foliage but no to cropping anything off. It will become too tight on the left where you need space as the horse and the man are both looking into that area. An equal crop will ruin the picture in my opinion.

Re: Roundabout bronze
I was just going to say the same thing, then saw Rob just pipped me to the post. An alternative to cloning would be to blur out that corner bit + perhaps also the BG trees showing on the right, to even out the effect (they don't need to be there anyway).

Think you are looking at the 4th pic maybe? I was referring to the first one. I agree that on the 4th blurring could do the job but in the first pic I think cloning is the best way. Cheers, Rob BTW Charlotte, do you know the Hartley family at all? I know they have become sort of 'local celebrities' during their long fight against XLP. I am not a close family friend but I know David particularly as he has featured on my radio show a few times to publicise their search for suitable donors (now found) for each of their 4 boys. Just wondered if you know them at all.

Re: Roundabout bronze
Now now boys and girls - no fighting. I will just take the shave off the first and clone.
Second and thirs are into the sun and more to sow I got out and walked. Fourth a bit of careful cloning to temove house and trees on the left and edge of the building and trees on the right. Risked life and limb to get the ideal framing so will have to cheat. Thanks for all the comments - added to the pleasure of taking the pictures and a "turkey lunch" at NT Anglesea Abbey on the way back! ![]() Quick edit on the first and last as suggested - everyone happy?

Rob, fourth? first? I must've been in the wrong movie I don't know the Hartleys personally, but yes they are well known around here from the publicity re: their boys' condition. You have your own radio show, Rob? |
