Ruins

As I've been lurking on the forum for a couple of months now doing nothing but fiddle with other peoples photos or add to the Music thread I thought it was about time I posted a few of my own photos.

These were taken at some ruined RAF buildings near Bassingbourne, Cambridgeshire. All were taken with a 300D / Tamron 28-300 / Polarizer.

Comments / manipulations welcome

#1 Love it ....the hay on the ground plays well with thelight.
#2 like the sihouette effect > Either needs a more dramatic sky ( possible to Photoshop one in) , or the single cloud cloned out.
#3 looks like you were unlucky to catch foreground in shadow, so appears a bit flat.
#4 although shot well, doesn't do anything for me.

Get some more shots in for us to enjoy

100% agree with DJW's comments. Really like No.1 and maybe a touch more contrast would make it stand out even more.

Thanks for the comments

1st is my favourite as well although the other 3 suffer badly when shrunk for the forum . The last one looks much better full res , the hard brick gives a really good contrast against the soft landscape
