Re: Sandpit's Return II

Beautiful set of shots.

#1: That look almost to much like the "pond" I was at yesterday. Really moody shot, looks like a great place. I had to really scour before I found the ones I did. They were almost impossible to see that early

#2: I hate it when I mess up the settings and I get a shot I'm pleased with . This is a lovely shot, only let down by the ISO setting but... Still a lovely shot!

#3: WOW, that's crisp. The flare is wonderful. I got a bit jealous now

#4: What can I say? That is just stunning. If I may ask? Is it cropped at all and aprox. how far away from the butterfly were you shooting?

#5: If I'm not mistaken you can actually see the reflection of the sky, in the eye of the damsel. That's pinsharp!! Only thing that looks a bit off to me is the color of the BG opposed the color of the reed stem(?).

Really like #3 with the starburst, but it looks slightly oversharpened to me. Good set, although who was it I heard complaining about multiple threads of the same place?

Only just noticed how much noise there is! And the weird artefact on the top of the twig. Pretend I never put this one up! LOL!

This is full frame (I absolutely hate cropping unless it's to achieve a 3:2 or square aspect ratio!), so was about 20 cm away (was using 150mm - usually 105mm, so 12 cm)

Maybe slightly oversharpened - always tempting to do so with a good 'burst!
Not actually what I said, BTW

Re: Sandpit's Return II

Cheers, peeps!

Know what you mean, Water! Did have a shot with 'tail' vertical but the 'burst wasn't looking good - and anyway, I rather like the space!
