Seacliff

Went to Seacliff in East Lothian on Friday night. I didn't do anything like the shots I really intended but I did come away with these which where the pic of the bunch. I was going for misty seas but it was far too calm for that - good excuse to go back again some time

1. Coulda Woulda Shoulda
In this one I shoulda got quite a bit lower. Lazyness!

2. Tantallon Castle

3. My Favourite
Some may say this needs rotated. Technically it's doesn't however because of the clouds on the horizon it looks like a small CCW rotation is required. The debate is whether or not you'd correct based on the look of something alone...

All where shot with the siggy 10-20mm and all are +/- 2EV bracketed shots manually blended in Photoshop - I've pretty much given up with HDR software mostly because the results can look artificial but I also prefer having the control to decide exactly the amount of light to give each part of an image.

Re: Seacliff

Third one is a cracker sir. Simply stunning.

I agree its level (after checking) but i would have rotated it very slightly to correct the perceived slight tilt. Horses for courses though

Re: Seacliff

not much of a flare man but 2 and 3 are very good. number 3 is why I love the sigma 10-20 lens. I love the wide look and you've captured it here with a great mellow mood

LOL @ Fiona

Lovely set OP, with #3 my favourite. Yes I would rotate it a teensy bit, but you knew that

Cracking set of shots OP. Tell what, you keep away from the D200 ... too much competition for us all otherwise
