Jesus, just came by this by accident.
Why has no one commented on this. Seriously, I think this is a fantastic shot, Bachs. Maybe it's me but I love the composition, colour, the exposure is spot on and I love the way the light leads you into the image. I might be going over the top ( I don't think so ) but this is among the top 10 shots I have seen on this forum. Very, very impressed. Now then does that deserve the camera settings. Cameron |

Thanks Garnock...
The fiver and a bottle of Glenmorange are in the post I must admit, I was very pleased with everything about this one. The settings were 22mm focal length on the bobbins kit lens, f3.5 1/10 shutter speed and handheld with no flash. 812 warming filter which I've owned for months but never used until last week... and some newly aquired Photoshop skills! For me, it has the look of an old painting which is what I was trying to achieve. This was following a 3 week spell where I didn't touch the camera and the juices were flowing again

A Dutch Master. Forget the fiver and make it a bottle of Lagavulin. Cameron |

While it doesn't grab me and shake me round the room, it is quite lovely. There's something nice about it.

Thanks all...I'm meeting a special boat in a little bay I know just North of here so its Lagavulin for all.
At the end of the day, it was one of those special lighting moments. All I did was click the shutter button and capture what was already there! |
