Is this sharp?
I'm trying to get my pics nice and sharp so am after some input from all you knowledgeable people. Charlotte you gave me some good advice - about focusing on the eye nearest the camera and only using 1 focal point etc then re-framing the shot if I needed to. I have tried to do this with this photo but you guys seem to be able to see things I don't! Any advice is welcomed - I figure its the best way to learn.
Thanks for looking and taking the time. ![]() Rachel [/IMG]

Re: Is this sharp?
Love the background, your girl seems to be spot on, what a curious look in her eyes, Very tender age. I think you did good doing what Charlotte said, that's what I do, it's fast and easy and very reliable.

Re: Is this sharp?
I'm not sure that the eyes are sharp, but there are definitely parts of her that are, so I wouldn't worry too much, especially since her actual eyes aren't a really noticable feature in the shot (in terms of colour etc)

Re: Is this sharp?
I think it just needs the eyes bringing out a bit.
Be careful with the focus recompose method for shots as you alter the plane of view and if shooting at a large aperture you can get OOF results. hope you don't mind - quick edit

Re: Is this sharp?
looks ok but to be honest when u are looking at a low res version its very hard to tell if the actual hi res image is sharp or not because of compression issues.
Just dont use such a low F number to leave the eyes sharp and the end of the nose OOF! ![]() Fi |

Re: Is this sharp?
I think the image has all the required qualities, its just needs a little nurturing to bring out the best.
Spxxxx's edit is pretty much on the mark for a web size shot
