People ... let me know what you think of those pics, please.
I tried a few "variants" with snowy scenes vs. sharp colours, mostly primaries.
You can copy, edit, do whatever you like ... but just let me know how this turns out!

Number two is a cracker With the first one the horizon and mountains need to be lower down, to see a little more of them or not in the shot at all. Good colour and exposure.

I agree with Stephen with #1.

#2 needs a small crop on the RHS to remove the dark spot on the roof, and it is a pity that not all of the left hand building is in the frame.

#3 is OK even thought the horizon is central - it would be difficult to take this shot with a higher or lower horizon. The plant and rock on each side of the frame might be better cloned out.

Snow scenes are difficult to expose well, so you have done very well to get it right

To me #3 looks best as the snow seems white and the other colours in the scene look good too. Other two seem to have a blue colour cast. Note I am using an uncalibrated laptop to look at it.

I must admit that I had cropped the pic a bit after going RAW>>JPEG, but I still have the original. I'll get back to them and see what difference that will make.

Thank you for your input.
As I mentioned to Stepheno, I'll work them again and see what happens after a little retouching. I kept the originals, as always.
The WB is what really gets me ... I find it very difficult to obtain a pure white from that snow.

Thanks for the comments.
That blue cast on pics No. 1 and 2 was quite a bit more blue. I did tweak the WB from Camera RAW but I guess I could try again and do my best to get the white as white as possible.
However, on a very sunny day, with blue sky, blue mountains and blue water ... that becomes nearly impossible.
Do you have anything to suggest? I would appreciate.

I like #3, it made me smile, that chair sitting covered in snow looking at the view, just seams surreal.
Like #2 also, are they holiday cottages?

Looked on my calibrated Monitor last night and #1 & #3 a fine with the white. I guess #2 is being affected by a minor tint. If they are RAW maybe it could be tweaked.

Not had any real experience with this as I hardly ever see snow, let alone photo it.

OK, I did retouch the photos and they are in my "albums" (galery)... should they be placed here again and, what about the ones on top ... should they be deleted first then post the new ones?

Pentax, may I humbly suggest it is a good idea to leave the originals and to post adjusted ones in the thread? This helps people who didn't see them at the start to see what they looked like before and after adjustments

I did see them before and enjoyed them. The blue of the snow is quite strong but sometimes is when the sky is a strong azure blue as it reflects in the snow. As Chrisa said, down here in Dorset on the soutch coast of England we rarely see any snow to speak of so just don't get to take pics like that unless we travel considerable distances.

Lovely stuff.... but made me shiver <g>
