Taking a shower. First rain for 32 days!

First one wing held up to rince its "Wing pit" for about a minute.

Then the other one in the same way.
Rain falling can be seen in the -1 stop fill-in flash.
Poor light so please forgive quality, but couldn't resist the ablutions without DOVE soap (my mother's favourite to preserve her 90yr old skin)

Nice shots. What lense did you use for them? Regarding the rain, here in Iowa, we're drowning. Pretty much the whole state is a disaster area.

Sigma 70-200 2.8 DG with 1.5x converter iso 200 1/200th @ f.2.8 on 350D

Perhaps you could share some of your rain with our farmers - irrigators have been going on the field at the back of us.

bet there are many pleased people with the rain, hopefully it is the turning point for the farmers,and hope you at least get few days worth of rain.
now back to photo , i actually think apart from poor lightening , your first image is quite clear and you can see all detail in Dove ,and very lucky that your little friend posed for so long, obviously she too was enjoying the rain.Thanks for sharing your mums secret ,know what brand i shall be swapping to now and also like your BG , nice and softly out of focus .
