i like the second one but it is a real shame that you have just clipped off the top of the ears.

the last one is great! nice to see a different aspect of equine photography!
All in all a nice set of images!

Yes - all told I got about 20 for her to proof - unfortunately I had the 70-200 on the camera and it spent most of its time in the air 6 feet away.......

Love 1 and 2, I would also prefer all the ears on 2 but great shots, especially considering the conditions

Re: Sleet, rain and in 2 feet mud - today

Yup, some good shots here Simon. I'm afraid I'm going to go the whole hog and say the ears cut in half in number 2 ruins the shot for me which is a shame because the rest of it is an excellent portrait. I like the golden light in number one, just one slight annoyance is the blurred twig/branch whatever right by the mouth. Other than it's lovely. There is something about number three that looks wrong, the horse seems all out of proportion. I think it's because of the angle of the head and neck which forms a straight line to the shoulder and takes away any shape.

I love the idea of the horse's hooves in the last pic. Even with the cropped hoof, this one still works and captures something a bit different. Well done

Rob

All good shots particularly for this time of year but the last one (with the ears back in!) is excellent, exposure is spot on and the client should be very happy with it.

Yup, a ruined shot has become a cracker. Just goes to show the importance of little things at times. Lovely shot Simon

Cheers,
