Re: smoke "em
All fun but it is nothing to do with photography, it is simply a piece of graphic art. I am not saying there isn't a place for that, graphic art is a skill in itself. but as this is the 'photo sharing' thread, I feel it is somewhat out of place.
Cheers, Rob |

Please do not bring personal insults into the Forums. If you feel that something has been said which is inappropriate, then bring it to the attention of the Crew with the 'Report post'
Many thanks |

Re: smoke "em
I see photography as a form of art and equally Soleto's image too. In my mind it is totally valid and welcomed in this or the photo critique section.
Comments and feedback can cover many different aspects of an image, not just how it was created. Perhaps it would be better not to comment on work like this if you have a problem with how the image was created in the first place. Pixalo is a community that welcomes different standards, different people and above all different styles. Rather than trying to force one persons opinion on others to have the work removed from the site, lets all show some of that famous community spirit and encourage different styles and direction ![]() Live and let live ![]()

Re: smoke "em
I seem to recall though Steve that something like this was mooted last year and it was decided that as this is a photography forum then pictures should be fundemantally photos, albeit with processing applied as per the taker's wishes but not for pictures that are not photographs. The same applied when we thought about a thread for video chat which was also felt inappropriate as it was not photography per se and this is a photography forum.
Anyway, perhaps the crew's ideas have changed since then and that is their right so if they are happy with us putting non-photographic pictures in here then that is fine. I do not feel my comment was against the community spirit of Pixalo, I was raising it because I felt it was a valid comment and nothing more. Cheers, Rob

Out of fairness to Soleto, if you wish to discuss this matter further or anything else that is off topic of the original post, please start a new thread in the correct section of the forums where we will be happy to participate ![]() |
