Some American Football
56k warning..........I always forget that in the title....sorry.
Last saturday night, local catholic powerhouse vs another top notch team. The team in white features a quarterback going Division I at northwestern. Got to use my boss's new d2hs along with the 300 2.8 and the 80-200 2.8.  Enjoy.      My monitors been acting squirrely, sorry if the color is off.

Spot-on, VE
 In the situation you were in, with the spectators being on the sidelines, you have managed to keep them out of focus to minimise the distraction they cause. The shots of the two guys on their own, particularly #1 are so much better with no people in the background. Still, you have to play the cards you are dealt, and you've made the best of it.

 #2 is just over the image size limit of 1000px. Appreciate if you could resize otherwise it will be open house. Thanks.

Well, we sell to parents. The out of focus crowd background is actually a requirement for the purpose of my photos. Parents want photos showing how packed their son/daughters game was. Tho you're right, these particular one's dont convey the sense of how full the stadium was. Shot at ISO 1600 with that d2hs, 1/250th @ 2.8, no flash.

Great set of shots Veddie, every one shows some action or the tense atmosphere in the build up to a key point of action.
They are all looking pretty clean too for ISO 1600
