Talking Some black and white Photos.

These are the photos I submitted for my college project. It was the first time I had shot in black and white and the first time I had controlled the shutter speed and aperture. What do you think? Any comments are welcome.

Re: Some black and white Photos.

Well congratulations as this is your 1st attempt Was this with film or digital ?

Shot 3 is best in my eyes, as you have good range of tones from black right through to white.

Re: Some black and white Photos.

I used film, had to! My personal favourite is the 2nd one. Thanks for your input.

Got 60/60 for them and an A. Very happy!

Re: Some black and white Photos.

I really like 2 and 4, the subtle light in 2 is great. To me 5 seems too bright and lacking detail in the highlights (could be the jpeg conversion, or my monitor of course).

Nice shots though especially as you've not tried some of these techniques before and you definitely have a good eye for spotting a shot.
