Some Egypt shots
I'm slowly wading my way through two weeks worth of shots but here's a few to be going on with
![]() 1 ![]() Rameses II temple at Abu Simbel 2 ![]() The following morning around 5:30. I did think about shifting the moon a tad but didn't in the end 3 ![]() Entrance statue at Wadi al Sabua 4 ![]() Entrance to Luxor Temple. A three shot exposure blended HDR effort. I think the blend has stopped the highlights from blowing ![]() And finally (for now) 5 ![]() One of the dance troupe at our hotel in Luxor. This was a very ornate whirling routine and which the guy managed for over 15 mins

Re: Some Egypt shots
Ditto for PE's comments. How did you escape the crowds?

Re: Some Egypt shots
Thanks for the comments folks.
As for eascapng the crowds, Lake Nasser only has a handful of cruise boats on it so the sites are gloriously quiet . An overnight stay at Abu Simbel gave me three chances to snap it and getting up at silly o' clock isn't a prob for me and meant it was cooler.Mind you I did have Karnak Temple to myself at 6AM even though the light was all wrong. |

Re: Some Egypt shots
Great shots Mike and the HDR is nice and natural, but #5 he managed 15 minutes of that!!!! I'd have been sick.

Re: Some Egypt shots
These are all at least good and most are better than good! I too absolutely love the last one, it's a belter of a shot. Not big on HDR for all the reasons we have discussed ad nauseum but none of those reasons affect this one so I love it
It's a superb result, very well processed.MORE!!!! Cheers, Rob |
