Nice cross-section. That #2 hoverfly for me - know that it's not simple getting them in flight, however much they appear to hover still!

Yes the Hoverfly was a fluke. Tried for about 30 minutes, so many missed shots it was not funny.

The crop is a shame but my favourite would be #3 as the hairs on teh thorax are so well defined. Expensive bit of kit you're using there!
