Some shots from GrandAm Series this weekend

This shots where from the GrandAm series in the ChampCar weekend in Mexico City.

Besides having problems with the err99 (that I posted in another thread) I got some good pictures I think.

BMW from GrandAm GT

PORSCHE from GrandAm GT

PORSCHE from GrandAm

Later I post some of the ChampCar, and other series like Formula Renault Jr 1600 and Formula Renault 2000

All very clear and crisp. Nicely framed as well. It seems that you have got your panning skills sorted now. The BMW shot could well be a promotional photo for the team or one of its sponsors, very good work.

I think it has a lot to do with centrifugal force throwing the balance of the cars as they are cornering. or at least that’s how I am seeing it

No, actually, I think the background looks off.

Maybe, I think it's the wall in the background that causes it.

Nope, I maintain that they are almost spot on The illusion is from the corner and the inside wheel being off the ground (visible on thr Porche).

I'm undecided. I think they may be a little off, but I'm not sure.

I don't base that on the car itself, which does look like it is on a slant (due to a skewiff track), I'm looking at the crash barriers at the back, and the vertical lines.
I think the barriers are leaning 'back' slightly creating the sloping vertical, which would add to the 'effect' of it all being skewiff.
I think the second one is spot on, but the third may be ever so slightly off.

Hey!

Nice comments!!
Actually the level thing I think its because of the corner and angle I was shooting from.

Here are the larger ones, I do not post them because of the Medium Res images from my page are some times on the limits of the forum rules and I don't want to break them:

BMW from GrandAm GT

The colours are very strong in the first one. Have you boosted the saturation?
Like the reflections in the paintwork. Panning worked well!

Looking at the larger version of the last one it struck me just how little ground clearance some of these things have.

The lower edges all round look like they are made for rubbing the ground.

The composition of the first works really well. Good panning too.

The second works well due to obvoius sense of speed from the wheel in the air.

The thrid doenst do so much for me, but its ok.
