Re: Something from the weekend
Very dramatic sky in all of them....very nice Fi! They do look a bit dark though - but that might just be my monitor.

Re: Something from the weekend
The sky in the first one is great.
The sky in the second one keeps attracting my attention and drawing me out of the shot. Its basically too light compared to the foreground which I think should be your point of interest. A little tweeking should bring some more balance to this shot and make it much stronger. You have all the elements just the emphasis is currently in the wrong place for me ![]() The third shot makes me want to walk forward a few steps and look at the scene from over the hedge. Please tell me you have a different version of this with just the scene, the mountain on the left, the farm in the middle and then the sea and the island off to the right...framed with that great, moody sky that has the potential to be a killer shot

Re: Something from the weekend
Is that a volcanic lump known as Ailsa Craig in the background?
Is this the place in or near Kirkoswald? I drove by there a few times last week and thought I had to get down there to take some pics! |

Re: Something from the weekend
i think you are talking about crossraguel abbey which is just the other side of kirkoswald, and thats a definate recomendation to shoot,. yep its the craig alright!
![]() The kirk is at a place called Old Dailly if you go to Maybole and take the crosshill road which then takes you to Dailly ( new) and carry on that road and about 10minutes down the road you will come to old dailly. the kirk contains two blue Charter stones. have a read here Welcome to the Dailly Community Website Fi |

Re: Something from the weekend
1st shot with a bit of PS to spice up foreground is a cracker.
2nd shot, I want some space between headstone & church 3rd shot, walk down the road from the car & find the gate, to get the perfect shot without the hedge ...ya lazy so & so
