Spring hint
Not a great one for flaaaaars but with the hint of Spring you've got to take the opportunities if they present themselves! Taken lunchtime yesterday and today.
Don't give a fig Beginnings of a fig on an otherwise totally bare branch ![]() Camelia sprig ![]() Camelia bud Probably should remove that branch at the top! ![]() ![]() Succulent Liked the sun backlighting ![]() Stamens Went for the abstract look with the sun providing an inner glow and the narrow DOF ![]() As always, welcome any comments - good, bad or indifferent!

Re: Spring hint
back lit plant works really nice,. the background on the stamen pic is great
![]() regards removing braches,. easier at time of taking than with editing app,. it's all easy to not notice something till you get home! Sil |

Re: Spring hint
I love the Succulent, it really does work well with that lighting. The last image works very well too, the well defined stamen heads contrast well with the blurred surroundings. I also like the Camelia bud and sprig, especially the way the hairs are captured on the leaves. The only one that does little for me is the Fig which doesn't really contain enough of anything to hold my attention. All the rest make a great set so good stuff as usual Mark.
Cheers, Rob |

Re: Spring hint
i love the detail in the thrid one where you can see all the tiny fibres on the edge of the leaves and yep the succulent is a cracker! wish i had something other than weeds in my garden to shoot. oh yeah and daffodils which i HATE! thought i had dug them all out last year must have missed a bunch

Re: Spring hint
Many thanks for the comments, everyone! Much appreciated!
If I'd have removed that branch, Sil, I'd have cut a chunk of the plant! ![]() Very rarely do I disturb the area around the shot (except dead leaves, grass, etc) - as much in order to prevent the risk of 'losing' what I saw as much as anything else! Irony is, Paul, I'm impatiently awaiting this current fall of snow we're meant to be getting - bit of hail so far but that's all!
