St. Tanwgs's Church - Llandanwg

We were up in Wales for the weekend and came across this little church which is right on the beach. Apparently it dates back to the 13th century, has no electricity and is lit only by candles when it is open which is not very often.

We were lucky enough to catch it open just before a funeral and I was unbelievably lucky to be in the right place to catch the Vicar walking in before others arrived.

Anyway, two shots, both converted to mono with some dodging and burning on the sky and grass just to give that extra punch.

Both shot with the Sigma 10-20mm @ 10mm

Couple of interesting shots - great with the vicar in #2 (right place, right time!). Both could do with a kick up the levels to lighten them a little (and the brightish roof burned back to suit the dark clouds)

Re: St. Tanwgs's Church - Llandanwg

Thanks

I left them quite dark as I felt it suited the mood with the darker sky, I hadn't noticed the lighter roof and that is something that I should have fixed really so well spotted. I have had the 1st printed off and it does look great mounted on black, it will be entered in both my local clubs mono print section and i'm also sending it off to the Smethwick International.......worth a punt I thought
