I decided to try a different approach to fireworks this year and instead of using a slow shutter speed decided to use a fast one to try to catch images that resemble star clusters.

It's an interesting take on it but I'm not sure I prefer it to the classic arcs of light you get with longer exposures. If you removed the moving sparks - the little yellow lines - I think it might look more like a space image. Even the red smoke might look a bit astral without the sparks?

It's a nice idea though, fo' sho'!

I'll bet that if you had not said it was fireworks, you'd have everyone wondering how you got such a clear shot of outer space.
