Re: storm season
These are wonderful and exactly right for the title; however, from a newbie, I would delete the lights, (cars-houses); from the photos. They're distracting to me.

Re: storm season
Totally agree with Sage. No1. is great but removing the lights would make it even better. To be really picky I am not so sure about the light pollution glow in 2 ( it does not look right for a sunset some how) but if I had taken that I would still have been very pleased.

Re: storm season
Wow! That first pic is one powerful image, very well done
Think it could do with a slight clockwise rotation. The car lights don't bug me, but I think they should be horizontal (even if they are going up a hill). The colours in this one are great + work together very well. Not sure about the colours in the 2nd one, and I think the lightning is a bit lost (too small in the pic). Perhaps a closer crop? ![]() |

Re: storm season
I love the multiple flashes in No 1 but not the clouds, they feel a bit over done, probably due to the method used to take the shot rather than anything in post pro I am guessing. They just have a feeling of being a bit too fast for the image. I know storm clouds move over quite quickly but they are having a race between themselves LOL.
I have to say though the row of white car lights doesn't bother me at all, they fit the picture fine. The only thing I might clone out are the coloured lights. Powerful images both, I just thank the Lord I don't live anywhere where you get these storms enough to have a 'season' LOL. Cheers, Rob

Re: storm season
Both are great, but I particularly like #2, and Charlotte's edit.

Re: storm season
thanks all , some great comment there.
lights are still there probably more due to my laziness but both in and out cases have there merits No 2 is light pollution from nearby suburb , but it has been exaggerated due to long exposure Rob I think the fast moving clouds are due to a bit of both. Long exposure and in post processing I pushed the s curve to the max to increase the contrast. Could have gone a bit overboard there thanks again cheers Andrew |

Re: storm season
Your shots are very creative, I like both. I can only marvel at them, the storms that move around here are very fast and most of the time right over your house or head.
I want to try this very badly but haven't had a good chance,,very nicely done,, Andrew. Boofers |
