Re: Straight from the camera
You can't complain when you get shots like that with no post processing
A tighter crop might add more impact, & placing the girl on a 1/3 vertical within the shot may provide some more balance to the shot..... but hey, rules are to be broken

Re: Straight from the camera
There is sadly only one thing you can do when your shot ends up like this....
Print it out, frame it and stick it on the sideboard for all to enjoy ![]() Cheers, Rob |

Re: Straight from the camera
I love using the lens I had previously bought the same type of lens but not the APO version it wasnt the best so I sold it on ebay and bought the apo type it is an older version with the gold band but I am getting much better shots with it the previous lens was a little soft
I will resize a few more and post them up

Re: Straight from the camera
I have the 70-300mm APO for my Nikon too, but it has a Red band not gold? and i thought mine was the older version hehe.
Its one of my favourite lenses, but careful it isnt too sharp at 300mm |

Apparently the glass is suposed to be better quality in the older apo version i'm not 100% sure if that is true but I know it is much sharper than my previous lens D40 I would love a wider angle lens but just havnt the funds to purchase what I want lol This is where I read about the bands "Quote" hi Sigma Vs Sigma, as there are no pic's, go for the one with the GOLD stripe at the end of the lens. If you have a RED stripe its not as good. EX rated glass Is superior the DG prefix is for BOTH digi & film. the DC is Digi only. I have used a 70-300 APO with a red band & sadly i felt that it had wasted my money ( when i compared images taken with a 18/50 EX DC & 105 EX DG ) On a D200, D70 & D50 hope that helps Heres the link http://photo.net/nikon-camera-forum/00Mfhi Last edited by Steffyboy; 03-10-2008 at 23:33. |
