Studio Shoot - "Skippie" the Gothic
Taken today from Camera Club Studio Shoot. Stunning model "Skippie" who had this incredible hair do.
Here we had a Soft box to right , with white reflector to left to soften shadows slighty. In addition a light with "snoot" attached was focused on rear screen to help outline hair. No post processing apart from slight sharpen at resize time. Once again big thankyou to Hoffy for setting up lighting & providing model ![]() Decided for an alternative shot, trying to keep it dark & moody .... does it work for you ? Softbox to front right, with light with snoot focused on screen behind to help outline model.

Re: Studio Shoot - "Skippie" the Gothic
That's one hell of a hairdo! Great for photography though. I would have maybe liked a bit more light to the left side of the face and perhaps a darker lipstick to give more definition to the mouth. But great model.

Just commented on this in the gallery. Best of the 3 for me, great pose, great eye contact & good smooth lighting.

Re: Studio Shoot - "Skippie" the Gothic
Crikey, when that girl says 'Not tonight, I'm doing my hair' she really does have an excuse!
Love the lighting on that third one Dave (not keen on the crop right at the elbow but we'll let that pass <g>) I actually like the darker lighting on the first one as your attention is drawn to her absolutely beautiful face. Could the hands be bunrt down a touch just to stop them fighting for attention? I am not overkeen on the 2nd one, might be better if the snoot was adjusted to put the lighter spot directly behind her head area. Gotta say, it makes a refeshing change to get a model who really knows how to do her make-up to perfection. Next time she's coming to your club Dave, let us know <g> Cheers, Rob

Re: Studio Shoot - "Skippie" the Gothic
that is a very interesting girl to photograph and you did a great job doing it, This is the type of girl I would love to photograph, Gothic type girls are good for many types of pictures.
#1 does it for me, the only thing is that her face and hands seem a little over exposed. try this to give it a "Grunge Gothic Look" Burn Tool: Range: Shadows Exposure: (+ -) 10% These are really great pictures Dave |

Re: Studio Shoot - "Skippie" the Gothic
Dave: when are you going to setup the lights yourself, several times now you have said that Hoffy has arranged the lighting (no offense to Hoffy intended). It's time to grasp the nettle and do your own lighting!
This model is amazing, and No#2 definitely shows the best side of the female species! (if you can keep their gobs shut thats a plus for sure)
