Summer Macro (first D300 flora macros!)
The light was so wonderful yesterday, I went out into the garden and took some macro shots, which I realised were my first natural setting (ie not set up with lights) macro flower images with the D300.
Comments and thoughts appreciated        Two of the best backgrounds I've ever got, shame about the shots  :

Oh and forgot to mention, these are all more or less straight out of the camera, in JPEG (
 yes, still trying it out!), with no real editing. I'm quite pleased about that as it has greatly reduced my workflow, (having good JPEG settings) |

very nice set. no 3 and 5 are best.
no 3 - very good composition. some people will say it's too central but it works here. very good lighting and contrast - bright but we could still see all those details. and i like background - with more white flowers going deeper and deeper outside of DOF. interesting. no 5 - fantastic colours. very interestin composition, this time not central one and it makes this photo so good. again nice lighting and contrast. and again flowers disappearing from focus in nice way. rest of them is good but not as good as those two - in my opinion. nice colours on that last one.
