Sunset
Now, just before all the criticism starts, I really just wanted to share this photo with you because, I think it's great, the colour of the sky is amazing. I'm not posting this pic as some amazing work of art, I literally stuck my head out of the door pointed and clicked, I'm sure there is loads wrong with it from an experts point of view, but any and all criticism is completely welcome, good or bad. How could I make it better?

Re: Sunset
You don't need to be apologising or defensive about a shot like this Steve. If you had seen a sky that colour and not reached for the camera I'd have asked to get you sectioned! I honeslty don't think there is a whole lot you can do to make this better. I'd have liked to see more of the smoke emanating from the chimney as that would have broken the sky up a bit more but you can only shoot what's there.
The more I look at it the more I find it keeps my interest. It has three chimney stacks, each diffeent: one alone, one with smoke and then a twin stack. The lines of thoe roofs are broken by a different texture with the trees and the overall line of the houses is not dead straight so creates interest there too. I'd like something in that sky but as it is this is a better picture than you are giving yourself credit for. Sit and look at it for a while and more seems to happen. Yes you could crop it a touch but overall I am perfectly happy with it. Well done for seeing the shot and grabbing it before you lost it. Cheers, Rob

Re: Sunset
Gorgeous colour. I like the simplicty of the shot
![]() There was the most stunning sunset on Monday night, I was late for an appointment and really didn't get a chance to take a picture. I'd hoped for a similar sunset yesterday and it was a complete non-event. I'm kicking myself now. |
