Thanks to all for the help
Thanks for all the sharing on waterfall shooting
, here are a couple. It's amazing how you shoot when no one is around compared to when everyone is around. It was a bigg help to have all the help I received here on Pixalo when setting up the pod in the middle of a crowd, then closing them out to remember how to set up.. f22/0.8sec./+0.33/iso400 [IMG] [/IMG]f22/0.5sec/iso400 [IMG] [/IMG]straight from the camera, could use a little brightening, it was very cloudy and dark. Thanks again to all for the help, it was a wonderful vacation. ![]() |

Re: Thanks to all for the help
Both are great but the second one would make an excellent bookmark if you did a tight vertical crop straight down the middle.
![]() I also agree that they could do with a little brightening up, which could be easily done |

Great shots Boofers. This waterfall and the bridge looks familiar. Where are they?

Re: Thanks to all for the help
Thanks for the comments. Paul, the falls is northwest of Portland Oregon along the Columbia river, it's called Multnomah Falls. There are about eight other falls near the roads, 1 to 1/2 mile hikes, more further up the Columbia river.

Re: Thanks to all for the help
Lovely work their Boofers, well done.
Mind if I ask one question: as you were wanting to get a slow shutter speed anyway, why did you use ISO 400 instead of ISO 100? Increasing your film speed by two stops was making it just a tad harder to get the slow shot you wanted. Just a by the by really, lovely work and with a touch of processing to put a bit of contrast into the shots, you've got a real winner. I love Steve's bookmark pimp. Cheers, Rob ![]() |
