Re: Thanks to my models - part 1
Summerleft, nice set from your first outing. No's 1 (nice detail in that jacket), 3, 5 are my fav's, very natural expressions with nice hint about the personalities. Is No 1 really sharp? Looks a bit soft on this screen. No 3 could do with the contrast being lowered, more fill-light, which you can fix in PS. The light humored feel goes against the high contrast lighting.
Just first thoughts, but good job! Cheers Les |

Re: Thanks to my models - part 1
a good set for your first go at people.
the first two i feel would have been better with them making eye contact witht he camera as there is no bond there between subject and viewer. #3 is nice, with ust the shadow on her face spoiling it for me,( pity your reflectors hadnt appeared this would have benefited from having them. I like the fun element of the last one, just slightly overexposed, which should be easily sorted in PS if you shot in RAW. well done a great start. Fi # 4 and 5 are nice with good eye contact, 5 i think perhaps a faste shutter speed would have frozen it a bit more. |

Re: Thanks to my models - part 1
Not much to add to what's already been said, except a shorter DoF would've blurred the uninteresting BG's. #3 is the best one in this regard, where you managed to separate your subjects from the BG nicely. #3 is also the best one re: natural + relaxed pose.
I like #5 for the fun you captured, but #3 is my favourite, very nicely done. Overall, good set, well done |
