Three Shires Head
Another evening stroll in the peak district, brought me to three shires head (Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Cheshire all meet for anyone who's wondering). Took loads and will post more but my other half liked this so I thought I'd share

Re: Three Shires Head
Great exposure - look forward to seeing more
Not been there (tho' remember visiting Flash one New Year's Day, many moons ago, in a blizzard!), and travelled that Ashbourne/Buxton road often enough! |

Re: Three Shires Head
Hi rich, I just had to comment on this as I have been there and found it a great place to photograph. As the rivers meet from two different directions and on different levels the possibilities for photos are almost endless. I can't place where exactly your shot was taken from though? Is it of the smaller river coming in from the right as you look up the main river towards the stone bridge?
A picture is better than words (here is one I took there a while ago) was your shot taken somewhere off to the right of that scene?

Re: Three Shires Head
Steve,
It is indeed on the right of your picture. Its the smaller river, that goes under the smaller bridge. Once I've finished sorting them I'll post a few more and that will make it more obvious. Love your picture, I've got some taken from the same spot, although I was having a problem with a bright sky and forgot to take my ND grad!! Thanks for your comment Fi, been practicing my flowing water technique lol Rich |
