Levels are spot on Ian!
The crop looks great. The eyes are the focal point of this shot and they need to really grab your attention. Try lightening the eyes a touch to make them stand out and then apply a dab of white paint to the catch lights in the eyes which are already there, but just need accentuating. Good catchlights really draw you to the eyes and add expression. Dab the catchlights with the soften brush so they're not too sharp. Just gives him even more attitude! ![]() |

Loads of fun then looking for frames Ian! It's amazing how many frames are still offered in 10X8 and 5X4 etc which represent the old whole and half plate sizes and are 5:4 ratio rather than than the 3:2 ratio we take shots in. You often end up getting mattes cut to fit the pic without cropping. If you crop that shot to a square format though, you should be OK as there seem a fair few square frames available. Boots have a pretty good selection, or they did last time I looked.

Thats a great shot Ian, and well processed to give it the clout it deserves.
I would have liked to see his feet though. |
