Torc Waterfall - Ireland
I just want to share this picture of Torc Waterfall. It was scanned from a slide taken on an Olympus Om1n. As you will realize the subject was very contrasty and needed processing using selections and levels. Comments good and bad would be welcome.

Re: Torc Waterfall - Ireland
if you just started to scan, I commend you for your good work, if you have been working at it along time,,keep working, I find 35mm scans to be very grainy, so this is a good picture, good save, and good memories.

Re: Torc Waterfall - Ireland
I'd be interested to know what equipment you used to perform the scan. This is an area I'm interested in studying as I have hundreds of slides and 35mm negatives I'd like to take digital.
You're photo here is certainly better than anything I've been able to accomlish! |

Re: Torc Waterfall - Ireland
Hope you don't mind the pimp John, but sometimes I find it easier to do than say how I would improve an image, especially if I can't tell just by looking at it, so a play in editing often provides the answer
![]() ![]() Increased contrast + saturation, that's all! This is a beautiful image John, your composition could not have been better |

Re: Torc Waterfall - Ireland
I was wondering what a 'pimp' is! No, of course I don't mind and thank you, the pimp is an improvement.

Re: Torc Waterfall - Ireland
I use the Epson Perfection 3200 which is a flat bed scanner capable of scanning up to 5 in x 4 in negatives and A4 documents.
