Trying again Cacouna on the river
I hope I got this right this time:
![]() I do think the photo is a bit too big, vertically. Shall I resize and do it again? Thanks for the help everyone! ![]() Last edited by Pentaxbuff : 28-01-2008 at 21:47. Reason: picture size |

Re: Trying again Cacouna on the river
Yay!
![]() The rules say that the photo must be no larger than 1000 pixels on the longest side, and less than 300 kB filesize - so yours is perfectly OK. ![]() |

Re: Trying again Cacouna on the river
Nice image
Maybe a crop just above the rock, but personally I would prefer to see the twigs ( top right) gone. I don't think that they do anything for the image IMHO and just a little pointer, the horizon is sloping down to the R/H/S |

Re: Trying again Cacouna on the river
Thanks Silkstone!
Took a while for me ol' pentaxbuff to get this right! Now ... better go back and fix the horizon/twing things as proposed by CGS; good comment though. All appreciated and thanks again. |

Re: Trying again Cacouna on the river
Nice picture
I would not bother resizing. Next time you post an image you can change the size to prevent having to scroll to see it all. |

Re: Trying again Cacouna on the river
CGS, thanks for the comments.
I would agree that the twigs in the upper right corner could be avoided. They really don't do much for the image. As for the horizon line ... ooops! I am usually quite careful with that. Maybe the -20C affected my senses that day! ![]() I'll try to post as shortened-corrected version. Cheers! |

Re: Trying again Cacouna on the river
Dabhand ... I suppose just a bit of risizing would be better indeed.
Thanks. |

Re: Trying again Cacouna on the river
Here ... with horizon correction and cloning out the twigs at the upper right corner, which I messed up a bit!

Re: Trying again Cacouna on the river
Thank you! Appreciated!!
![]() While we're at it : I did mess up the cloning part though... any idea of what I did wrong? Perhaps I didn't use the right brush size while doing it?? Not sure. If you look closely, you'll see that the cloned-out-twigs (upper right corner) left sort of a smudge instead of a nice and even sky. Last edited by Pentaxbuff : 29-01-2008 at 19:39. Thanks, CGS.
I'll have to learn how to do this cloning act better! |
