Re: Trying out the light box
Now that is a disgruntled looking cat!
![]() Your lightbox looks very much like mine. First shot is good, nice lighting, simple, but illuminates the flower in the right way. Sometimes the black background can look good for flowers too, but as it's material, it can come out looking brown-ish. That's why I use a piece of black A1 card instead. |

Re: Trying out the light box
He/she may look grumpy but there's just no way I'd get any of ours to sit in a tent.
![]() The first pic shows how great these things are at providing even lighting - it's very difficult to take strong colours with direct light without blowing the detail, and I think you've got it spot on there. Quote:
![]() P.S. ... and completely off topic, but I guess you don't have a problem with sheep ticks. I mean on the cat. Our record score is 14 on one of ours, and that's despite Frontline. ![]()

Re: Trying out the light box
![]() Thanks everyone - I was pleased with the orchid in the light box so the comments are the icing on the cake. Nothing surprises me about Molly the cat any more. She was decidely jealous about the attention lavished on the flower and joined in - I would't have been surprised had she produced a persian pout and put her paws behind her neck ![]() Silkstone - I've never had or seen a sheep tick - and my cats move so rarely, fleas get bored and bite Roger instead - much cheaper than frontline (Hiya Roger - nice pot mum in a light box...chortle) Nellie ![]() |
